Freddie Mercury in an interview 1984

“I think over the years I’ve become bitter, I’ve learnt more, it makes you strong. I don’t trust anybody because they’ve let me down so many times I feel I’m walking around with scars all over, and I think I couldn’t take another one. You can be loved by thousands yet you can be so lonely that the frustration is even worse. I find it very hard to open up to people, maybe I’m disillusioned, but I’ve got a grip on myself, I seem to be more aware and the more I find out, the more I realise how cruel it can be. I pay more attention to actually making people realise that I’m normal. The bit of happiness I can create is with my money. OK money can’t buy happiness, it’s true, but it’s a another form of getting happiness. When I buy presents to people, I love it far more than maybe they do, I love to see their faces… Basically, finding a few very close people who understand me would be enough, enough for me.” — f

  1. I gave a well behaved child $10 at a restaurant once, I can’t wait to do it again! It was the BEST feeling!!! So, I get what Freddie was saying here. Bravo my man! ❤️🦋🌀😉
